Liquid Face Lift

One of the best methods of total facial rejuvenation without recourse to surgery – a liquid face lift, can be achieved with the use of dermal fillers. Dermal fillers are injectable material made of hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in our body. The function of hyaluronic acid naturally in the body is to maintain the skin’s volume and hydration. It is appropriate, therefore, that fillers made from such materials are the products used to plump up, or fill in hollows and creases in the skin areas which lose fat or internal shape with normal ageing.

Liquid Face Lift Treatment.

Ageing brings about the loss of collagen and elastin from the face, which leads to a sagging of the skin, wrinkles and a loss of youthful firmness. An individual seeking a liquid face lift might be looking for a complete lift of the face and eradication of wrinkles. Another might want a general firm up of the contours of the skin. Equally, dermal fillers can be used to create shape and profile in the skin in areas which need cosmetic enhancement or re-shaping. Plumping up tear troughs, or reshaping a nose or chin might be another individual’s idea of a liquid face lift. Each or all of these functions together can be used to totally rejuvenate the face, which is why dermal fillers can be referred to as providing the “liquid facelift”.

  • How are dermal fillers administered to create a liquid face lift?

After assessment by one of our qualified practitioners, dermal fillers are administered by way of small injections through a fine needle into various points in the face, to plump up lines and creases, wrinkles and furrows, and to change proportions of shape or volume.

The doctor has control over the volume of filler used, using just the right amount to create a natural – looking improvement, as it is essential that the liquid face lift suits the proportions of the face shape. The doctor’s aim is to create a fresh, wide awake and youthful appearance, taking care to tailor make the lift to suit the individual being treated.

  • Is the liquid face lift treatment process painful?

Some of the fillers used at the Clinic have in-built Lidocaine, an anaesthetic, to help numb the area treated so as to cause minimum discomfort. Others do not, and so a topical anaesthetic is applied, which has the same effect.

The process is comparatively quick, and the face is immediately lifted, smoothed, contoured and shaped, giving an excellent overall youthful and fresh look , thus boosting confidence in one’s appearance instantly.

  • How long does the effect of the liquid facelift last, and are there any side effects?

The process takes about an hour at the Clinic, and the effects can last up to 12 months, dependent on the product used. Once the injections have been administered, the areas treated may be a little swollen for a short time.

Side effects are rare, as hyaluronic acid is naturally occurring in humans, and over time, will be broken down and eliminated naturally through the body.

  • Who will perform the dermal fillers for liquid face lift treatment?

As with all Dermal Fillers treatments, Liquid Face Lift treatment for men and women is performed by one of our qualified practitioners and supervised by Doctor Maria Gonzalez.
